In today’s world, speaking the truth is not easy, especially when it’s about religion and mostly about Islamic Religion.<\/strong> But one brave Indian Muslim woman, Shabnam Khan, is doing just that. She\u2019s raising her voice not against her religion, but against those who are using religion the wrong way to control and misuse people, especially women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In this episode of YTMahendra Podcast<\/strong>, our guest is Shabnam Khan<\/strong>, a strong voice for truth and justice. She is a human rights activist, social reformer<\/strong>, and is often seen in TV debates<\/strong> across India. She currently serves as the National Spokesperson and Delhi State President of the Nishad Party<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Shabnam Khan is known for speaking up on social issues<\/strong>, especially those affecting women and minorities. She has also taken part in big movements like a symbolic walk from Delhi to Ayodhya<\/strong>, and even contested for the Delhi CM elections<\/strong>. On social media, too, she regularly shares her views and work, inspiring thousands with her bold and clear stance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Shabnam Khan calls herself a regular Indian Muslim woman. But what makes her different is her courage to talk about the issues many fear to discuss openly, things like triple talaq, halala, burqa, and women’s rights in Islam.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n She says that Islam is a religion of peace and humanity<\/strong>, but some so-called religious leaders (whom she calls “Changu-Mangu Mullas”) are spreading wrong ideas in the name of religion. These people, according to her, are misguiding others by giving wrong meanings to the Quran and using religion to control women.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Shabnam Khan bravely speaks out about the restrictions placed on women<\/strong> in the name of religion. She highlights how, in many Muslim families, girls are still denied basic rights like education, freedom of choice in clothing, and movement outside the home<\/strong> \u2014 all under the excuse of religious values.<\/p>\n\n\n\n She also brings attention to how some religious leaders, or so-called mullas, misuse religious texts<\/strong> to promote outdated and harmful practices like triple talaq<\/strong> and halala<\/strong>, even though these concepts are not supported in the Quran<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Another concern she strongly voices is the gender inequality<\/strong> deeply rooted in certain interpretations of religion. While men are promised rewards like 72 hoors in paradise<\/strong>, women are only taught to obey, stay silent, and keep sacrificing<\/strong>, with little recognition or spiritual promise in return.<\/p>\n\n\n\n According to her, these are not the teachings of Islam, but the results of misinterpretation and male-dominated control over religion.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
